Editing service

I have over ten years’ professional experience in copyediting and proofreading, most notably with the Dictionary of Irish Biography and the Irish Historic Towns Atlas series (both Royal Irish Academy research projects). I specialise in history, historical geography and literary history.

Transcription service

I get a real kick out of deciphering and making sense of handwritten documents, especially those dating from around 1700 onwards. In 2019, I published a critical edition of the diaries of John (Fiott) Lee FRS – hundreds of pages of 200-year-old pencil scrawl. I take pride (and great satisfaction!) in providing a transcription service for researchers.
